TomeiGT Evo 9

A few days ago, I passed by GarageGT to check out their latest Evo 9 project track car. When I last saw their project car, it was a stock daily driver. But after months of R&D, this is what they added to the car (All parts are Tomei):

  • 2.3L Stroker with complete forged internals
  • Intake system
  • Fuel system upgrade
  • Cams
  • GT30R Turbo kit
  • Complete suspension and brake kit (not sure what the brands of the parts are)
  • Tomei titanium exhaust kit
  • Car has been stripped down to save weight

This car put almost 420 WHP with race fuel on a dynodynamics dyno.

  • Those Evo 9′s are monsters when modded, got a friend who reached 350 AWHP with the stock Turbo on a DynoJet Dyno though.

  • Dynojet Dynos read higher than DynoDynamics. DynoDynamics have a braking kit for counter force to simulate road conditions, but DynoJet rolls freely. We had a side by side comparison for numbers coming from both dynos.. An Evo that made 340 HP on a dynojet only made 298 HP on a dynodynamics..

  • Yup DynoDynamics dynos are mustang dynos and not many people use them in Kuwait, besides most forums compare their numbers using DynoJet since DynoDynamics dynos are called heartbreakers :D .

If i had to choose which dyno to use i would choose a DynoDynamics because it is the most accurate whp reading any car can get.
