Three days ago, drift legend Atsushi Kuroi passed away from a motorcycle accident. If you never heard of this man before, he received the highest score in D1 Drift history twice! Back when I was in Seattle, I used to watch a lot of D1 events airing from Japan and Atsushi Kuroi used to run his round literally taking away the spotlight from all the other participants with his Nissan S13 Silvia. He would take his turns entering at high speeds and extreme angles that are almost impossible to manage. This took a while for me to find, but here are two of my favorite moments of his career. Please excuse the yelling and screaming while watching these videos, Japanese commentators get too excited sometimes.

According to this picture, yes they can! My friend took this picture up in LA a while ago. The ticket is on the windshield and it’s for parking in a “No parking zone”

Diego Stocco plays music from the tree in his garden. He doesn’t use any synthesizer or sampler to produce and adjust the sounds, it’s all coming straight from the tree- amazing.
